KEEP YOUR HEART [JOHN 4:23-24(MSG), PROVERBS 4:23]

It takes more than having a good voice to be a worshipper. If there will be any substance flowing from your worship, it will be from your heart. Don’t let your spirit be empty. Guard your heart against anything that can pollute or weaken its fabric and strength. The health of your heart is very important. Spend time before God to work upon you and correct strange things in your heart. Always come before God in worship as a broken person. When you come before Him after you commit a wrong, ask for repentance. Until God breaks you, you cannot depend on Him. Watch everything that will affect your heart – your obedience to God, your obedience to instructions, your response and relationship to structure. When you are dealing with the things of God, it is your heart that is your safeguard. Worship can be like excreta before God if the heart that is presenting it is completely wrong, even when the skill is right. The first goal of God is to make you and make your heart a place that He can inhabit. I implore you to pursue a good heart before God. This should be your song:

Change my heart oh God

Make it ever true

Change my heart of God

May I be like You.

You are the Potter,

I am the clay,

Mould me and make me,

This is what I pray.

PRAYER: Lord, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Let my life bring sweet smell before you in Jesus’ name. Amen
