TRUE WORSHIPPERS SEPARATE FROM SIN AND THE SINFUL NATURE [2 CORINTHIANS 6:17]

Share

This is when you separate yourself from everything unto God as God’s holy vessel and you don’t let Him feel jealous by sharing yourself between God and something else.

Your first separation that signifies true worship is the conversion of your soul; when you separate from a sinful nature (which is foreign to God) and cease to be a foreigner to Him. When you separate yourself from things that God detests, you are making a statement that you are a true worshipper. For instance, if as a student who shares a dorm room with a group of gossips you separate yourself from them when you know the truth, it shows that you are a worshipper.

Irrespective of the profession you are in, if you decide to separate from the normal things that people practice but God detests, you are showing yourself to be a true worshipper who lives a life of worship everywhere and at every time. You must make living true to God and His will a priority at work, in business or in any endeavour. A true worshipper of the true God will not engage in dirty business or join the multitude to do evil. The separation you do from what God detests is true worship- not that you are singing to God while still engaged in occult practices, the two cannot go together. You can't do what the Father hates and think you can still raise up holy hands to sing; God won’t look at you. Therefore, separate yourself from acts that displease God, from people who don’t fear God and those who hate God.

PRAYER: Lord, I consecrate myself afresh and decide to always do what pleases you in Jesus’ name. Amen!
