The time you spend with God determines whether God will get involved in your life or you will simply be someone who God intervenes in his situation intermittently.
A rich man desired to start a relationship with his poor neighbour and each time the poor man passed by the house of this rich man, the rich man would drop a coin, the poor man would pick it up and walk without looking up to see the person who dropped it. In the same vein, God desires an intimate relationship with us but we are always too busy to give Him attention.
Samson did not know the source of his power so he did not develop a relationship with his source – God. Moses, David, and Daniel understood God as their divine source of strength, and they reverenced and gave Him due time in their lives on a daily basis. Jesus our Lord always woke up early to commune with God. God knows your day ahead of you when you get Him involved, He will give you directions for the day and you won’t need sudden divine interventions because He is already involved.
One day consists of 24 hours, and God wants you to give Him a tithe of this time. 2 hours 24 minutes. The minimum time a serious Christian should give to God per day is a tithe of 24hrs. That is your seed per day (Malachi 3:8). “Time is the capsule that contains the substance of life”. If you waste time, you will waste your life.
Here are 5 things you can do in that period:
1.Spend time in prayer
2.Spend time in worship
3.Spend time in studying the Word
4.Spend time in fellowship
5.Spend time in service to the LORD
You may live 24 hours a day as a living sacrifice, yet you should search out the 2 hours 24 minutes you owe God daily and spend it with Him. He will bless you.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to prioritise my secret place and wait on you ahead of my daily journey in Jesus’ name. Amen.
