WHAT IS HAPPENING FOR ME VS WHAT HAS HAPPENED - 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18

One major truth that every child of God must arm him/herself with is the fact that, “Something is always happening for a child of God”. What is happening for you is always good, although what has happened to you may not be good. What has happened to you is different from what is happening for you. Rejection, slavery, and jail happened to Joseph, but enthronement happened for him.

God does not relate with you based on your situation and circumstances, but on His purposes and plans for you. 2 Cor. 4:18 says, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

The promises, prophecies and the purposes of God for you are eternal; these are the things that are happening for you. The problems of life, situations and circumstances are things that have happened to you and they are temporal; they are subject to change. In fact, they will eventually make your prophecies happen. The least that God will do for any of His children is good. Always expect a positive outcome in every situation you’re passing through. Focus your eyes on the things that God is working out for you, what is happening for you, and you will see “the power that makes things become perfect” in all areas of your life (John 1:1-2).

PRAYER: Lord, I take my eyes from temporal things, I fix it on the eternal things. Your word for me will surely come to pass in Jesus’ name. Amen.
