Moving on in our study, looking at Verse 13 you’ll see that your emotions can be dangerous to your spiritual destiny. There are some things that you cannot enter an accord with, you must slay it. Jesus puts it like this in Mark 9:47, “If thine eye offend thee, pluck it out.” He is talking of something that is so precious to you but keeping you from what is best for you. Be ruthless about it – cut it off.

In Verse 14 they were avoiding the truth, it wasn’t Joshua that gave them one lot. Remember Eph 1:3, God has deposited into your spiritual account what you need to become anything physically possible. Everybody must work, but not everybody works to receive a blessing. Different situations require different spiritual approaches. If there is anything the devil likes, it is Christians that don’t know what is theirs or those that are not ready to fight for it. Many times, we take a position that Jesus is not taking.

When God gives you a counsel, follow it. Truth is where God has been, the anointing is where God is, prophecy is where God is going. Utilize the anointing to your advantage. You can find the anointing in your spirit or on the Anointed that is around you. If the anointing has an instruction for you and you violate it, that battle will be largely on your side in the physical. As Christians, we are wiser before the event not after the event. Jesus said, “When the Holy Ghost shall come; he will show you things to come.” Beloved, take advantage of Truth, Anointing and Prophecy and fight victoriously.

PRAYER: Lord, I come against every form of negligence that can cause a man to despise the truth, anointing and prophecies that has gone ahead in Jesus’ name. Amen.
