Prior to salvation, people were running their lives somehow most likely not according to the principles of the Bible;  every human being was already operating by his words. You use your words; you speak your words. Whether it is used intelligently, knowledgeably, for or against yourself are different matters entirely.

The purpose of this subject is to help you know what effect words have on you and how to use your words for yourself. You don’t do anything without saying it out. For example saying, “I’m going to fellowship now.” Your words determine your direction; when you want to leave, you also say it in your mind first, then you decide and get up to take your leave. We know that words control us but we don’t recognize what those words do when we speak them.

As a human being, you have been given the power to speak and you speak. Only God knows how many words each person speak per day. I think you should do a check-up to find out how many words you use per day. And then find out how many of those words are positive.

You are already speaking, but you need to build your words on the truth of the word of God. That is the highest form of language; the most powerful and dominating words that anybody can speak on this planet is to say what God has said. You can’t go wrong or tell lies saying what God has said even if what God has said is contrary to what you are seeing, what God has said will do something about what you are seeing.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to speak right and confess your word. Help me to become a word addict and live for you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
