Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my father which is in heaven. Matt. 18:10

The scripture above shows that Jesus established the fact that there are personal angels for human beings. Every little child has angels that are personally assigned to minister to his or her needs. This is why sometimes when really fatal accidents take place where many people die; you hear that one little baby was miraculously preserved. Or you hear that a house collapsed and yet a little baby was saved. Why? The angels of such babies were working. But there are a number of factors that determine the effectiveness of angels that watch over little babies:

The righteousness and the relationship of the parents of the baby with the God Almighty will affect angels working for them. If the parents of a little baby do not have a relationship with God, are not serving God, and are not born-again, the effectiveness of that angel will be severely reduced. This is because the parents will have a relationship with the devil and the atmosphere of angelic operation in that case will be dark and conducive for evil. Also, because parents have authority in the lives of their children, their stand with God would affect the ability of those angels to really take care of their children.

The child, as he grows older comes into knowledge of truth and there comes a time that God gives that child an opportunity to make an intelligent response to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If he refuses to make Jesus his Lord and saviour, the angel will withdraw because it is not forever those angels are assigned to little children. If the child refuses to accept Jesus Christ, the angels will withdraw after sometime and he will have to be on his own, but for every little child, God assigns angels to them.

While our children are still very young, we have the obligation to teach them the way of the Lord and instruct them in the way they should go so that their angels will not be withdrawn from them as they grow up into adults. May the Lord depend on you and your family to birth the purpose of God on the earth.

PRAYER: Lord, I enlist the assistance of the angels in fighting every attack of the devil against my children in Jesus’ name. Amen.
