One of the dangerous things that can happen to us is allowing our experience to hinder our expectations. When God steps in your life or you step into God’s presence, you must shut the door of experience and open the door of expectation. The devil wants your experience to limit you from receiving what God wants to do in your future. Don’t fall into the temptation of trying to predict what God can do, or how He will do it. You can never predict what God can do. Even if you have seen many incredible things that God has done, you will limit yourself thinking that is how far God can go.
There are 2 experiences that we have in our lives; positive and negative experiences. Both can stop you from the fullness of what God has for you. They can stop us from moving on with God. Good experiences can stop us from experiencing greater ones, that is where you know the God that WAS and IS (our experience), but you don’t know the God that IS TO COME (our expectation). The children of Israel said: well, he parted the red sea, can he furnish a table in the wilderness? 6 million people, can he give them food? Even Moses doubted. Some of us have known God so much that we are already second guessing God.
You are responsible for the manifestation of spiritual things. The design is God’s, the time is ours. The same thing apply in your life, whatever God plans, he designs it and designs it perfectly but then he gives you the time to manifest it.
PRAYER: Lord, help me not to allow my experiences negative or positive to affect my expectation to receive what you want to do in my life. I shut the door of experience and open the door of expectations in Jesus’ name. Amen.
