Give God something He can work with in your life; He works with the hearts of men. He checks out the works of our hands by the quality of hearts behind that work. He said, “I know Abraham”, it is implied that God knew his heart. Paul said, “according to the Gospel of the glorious God that was committed to my trust” That means Paul passed the test of divine trust. When God looked at the heart of Paul he said, “I can trust him with this glorious gospel”. How far can God trust you? How much can God trust you? The little lifting that God gave you, what did you do with the platform? Can God trust you with the power? Can He trust you with the influence?
God trusted Elijah so much that he sent him to the house of a widow to live for months. A widow! The holiness of Elijah was tested by heaven, he could trust him, and nothing immoral happened between the two of them. Can God trust you with blessing? Most people’s prayer is about their problem. If God remove all the problems, can He trust you to now pray for fellowship with Him?
What is your heart looking for, God or the things that God has? The people that seek God are the ones that have the things that God has without any hindrance. He says, “You want me? I’ll give you myself and I’ll give you all I have”. If your pursuit is God, there’s nothing that God will hold back from you. If your prayer is not immediately answered, will you still remain faithful to God? It’s a heart condition. When God knows that no matter what happens, the devil cannot seduce you, miracles will follow you every day.
PRAYER: Lord, fill my heart with the grace to remain humble even after you have lifted me up in life, keep me steady in an unquenchable passion for your presence all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
