Considering the lives of Ananias and Sapphira, I am convinced that Ananias was a nice man that had weakness in his heart; the wife was the one with evil in her heart. That was why she didn’t follow the husband to the church. That was why when they gave her the chance to repent, she still lied. There are some women that are behind the evil behavior of their husbands. Everybody knows this man is nice on his own. And down through the bible, you can see two different people. Cain and Abel, the problem of Cain was a heart problem. When God asked where is your brother? He said, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” If you’re not your brother’s keeper you’re his killer.
God works with our hearts. If God says, “I trust that man”, it is not his education or dressing that is being trusted, it is the condition of his heart. It doesn’t mean if he’s perfect or not, his heart has to be tender. He says, “He that trembles at my word”.
Why will God bypass one and meet the other? Only God will never make mistakes. There are mistakes of the head, David made plenty of them but David did not make a mistake of the heart. Peter made mistakes but he didn’t make a mistake of the heart. When he betrayed Jesus and Jesus looked at him, he went out and wept bitterly. When Judas betrayed Jesus, he went to commit suicide.
There are Christians and ministers that were caught in sin and the only reason they became humble and remorseful is because they were found out. That means if nobody discovered them, they would have continued without any hindrance. Always remember by God all actions are weighed and nothing can ever be hidden from Him.
PRAYER: Lord, I submit my heart to your workings and shapening, make it one you can trust and work with all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
