A merry heart is one of the forces that unlocks the life of God in a man’s life, and when the life of God manifests around you, it manifests the glory, favor, and the beauty of God upon you. If you go with your spirit that is filled with the life of God, you will go with the Holy Ghost and the life of God will dominate whatever situation or circumstance you find yourself.

To break the hold of barrenness, you have to release joy. Every time that God wants to break barrenness in the lives of people, He requires them to worship and lift up their joy. Barrenness has a tendency to make you sad and weigh you down. The bible says “Sing, O barren and thou that didst not bear, break forth into singing …” That is not a normal thing to tell someone who isphysically, spiritually or financially barren. That word, “break forth” means there are resistances to singing. There are situations in which people find it difficult to sing. When you begin to mourn, the spirit of heaviness comes upon you but when you begin to praise God, God replaces that spirit of heaviness with the garment of praise.

The blessings that God has reserved for you in the realms of the unknown will be brought out by you releasing the joy of the LORD and the power of God. He says, “...For more are the children of the desolate…” Now this person is desolate, barren, yet the Bible says, “More are the children of this person than the one that is married.” Yet how will she know? You can compare that with the story of Peninnah and Hannah. Who could have guessed that Hannah had more waiting for her in the place of joy than Peninnah had?

Peninnah’s joy was natural, but God required that Hannah should stop weeping so that she could release joy and bring forth what was available for her. Looking at the children that Hannah brought forth, all the children ofPeninnah can’t be compared to one Samuel! You may be sufferingand the devil thinks he has got you, but he can’t stop you, if you can release your joy. If the devil cannot steal your joy, he cannot keep you down. Release that joy, learn to lift up your hand, worship Him andglorify Him. It brings out the life of God in you to dominate whatever is happening around you.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to release joy and worship you habitually regardless of what I’m going through in Jesus’ name. Amen. Take one hour to worship God personally today.
