Today we shall continue to consider living above average. Let's consider three ingredients of an above average Christian life.
1. To have the above average Christian life, you must understand the basics of Christianity. In the same way such that until you understand the alphabets, you cannot understand or master a language, you have to master the basic and conditional issues before you can live an above average Christian life. For instance, you can't be an above average Christian if you think culture has nothing to do with Christianity. You must not sacrifice your Christian culture for something against it. Persecution comes when your Christian culture conflicts with natural culture.
Salvation is another basic issue. When you get born again, then the works that accompany salvation are produced in your life.
2. Another ingredient is those you listen to. Those you listen to will largely determine whether you will be a below average, an average or an above average Christian. Don't listen to people who complicate salvation. Salvation is simple. You need nothing special to understand it. Listen to your pastor, your leaders, the Holy Spirit and your destiny company. He that walks with the wise will be wise, this is the secret of a great Kingdom life. As both faith and fear come by hearing, whether you are hearing words that is building fear in your heart or listening to the word of God is what will connect you to the plan and power of God for your life.
3. You must not boast in the flesh. The flesh is anything that people can see or relate with. It is also the way the body has been trained overtime. To become an above average Christian, your confidence must be in things that are spiritual and your spiritual training. Apostle Paul listed things that could be his confidence but he had to count them as dung to grow above average in his Christian life.
Those who establish those things as their boast never experience “the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus”. Make deliberate efforts to build a great Christian life that will have all the ingredients required for a great life. May the Lord depend on you in your day in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace to be a doer of your divine principles and walk in the knowledge of Christ Jesus that will give me an exceptional and fulfilling Christian life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
