“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! (Hab. 3:17-18)”

o become an above average Christian, you must be delivered from the joy that comes from things and happenings. If you are going to develop a great Christian life, the source of your joy must be the Lord. You can have everything breakdown around you without your relationship with God failing. If your relationship with God does not fail, you are not a failure.

What is the source of your joy? Make sure it is something invisible. The devil will try to put sorrow in your heart and he will come through things that are physical around you. If you attach your joy to any one of them, he will get to your heart, puncture your joy and sow sorrow and bitterness in your heart.

Your joy should be from the living Christ inside you. You cannot be a Christian without having a living Christ in you, which is manifested in the way you are cautioned and connected. The living Christ in you as a believer restricts you from doing wrong.

Christianity is the only religion that will collapse without the presence of a living Christ in the individual. You should ask yourself whether you are a Christian because you attend church only or a Christian because you have a relationship with Jesus and you attend Church to educate the life of God in you. If you don't have a living Christ inside you, your joy will be based on things that can be touched and manipulated. This is not God's plan for you. God's plan for your joy is in Hab. 3:17. Such that anything failing in the physical does not affect your joy, but you will rejoice in the God of your salvation and press on to fulfill your destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the overflow of the Spirit of Joy in my heart so as to live above the negative happenings in my environment and do the will of God in Jesus’ name. Amen..
