Play for the highest stakes in life, never play for medium stakes. Don’t have the mentality of just half and half, or half - hearted attempts at life. People who have that kind of approach to life don’t end up being all that God wants them to be. You’ve never seen anyone that fulfilled his purpose that is not extremely passionate. They didn’t play for just any kind of stakes, they played for the highest stakes. God offers you His best and you must give your all to it. “Only the best is good enough for God” should be your policy.
After Paul got converted, he gave his destiny his best push. Caleb said to God, “give me this mountain”, he didn’t say give me this valley. He said give me this mountain and Joshua was so touched. Not only did Caleb enter the promise land, he got the best portion of the promise land. Other examples are people like David, Ruth etc. When opportunities showed up, they gave their best push.
Paul said this one thing I do, forgetting what is behind, and pressing on for the very reason for which Christ has saved me. He did not settle for anything low, he went for the best in his field of divine purpose. In your destiny, you are you, and God will be glorified when you go for the highest stakes.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every trace of half-and-half spirit, I receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of excellence, I revelation of what you is required of me to receive the best you have reserved for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
