It is the anointing of God and not a person that locates the divine place for you. The anointing of God falls positionally. Everything of your destiny has a geography attached to it. There is a spiritual side of the geography and a physical side of the geography. The man in our text today ran up a tree. Jesus was not aware that he was there but as soon as Jesus got there, he looked up and said, “Come down”. The real question for you and I until we see Jesus is, “Are you in place for what God has for you?” Your provisions from God will go to the location that God has for you.
There is a divine allocation that waits for you in your divine location. Nothing is going to happen until you get that location right. What are the things that will help us to get to where we are to get to? Even when I was not saved, I saw the glimpses and the power of divine location. God locates people, not that he is searching for you. Certain things cannot and will not happen until you get to the location where they have been ordained to happen.
When Mary was pregnant with Jesus and the time for his birth came, if you read that story well, they were living 128 miles up north in Nazareth, and the prophecy said he will be birthed in Bethlehem. How was it going to happen? God moved and the Emperor in Rome gave a decree that everybody should go to their home city for a census. Mary had to travel through the hill country heavy with child because that prophecy could not happen outside its divine location. Everything that happened in Jesus’s life happened according to prophecy. You saw the angel come to Joseph and say, “There are people hunting for the life of this child, take him away.” And Joseph took the child and went to Egypt that the bible might be fulfilled: “Out of Egypt have I called my son.” What God is doing in our lives is not moving us into a location that is palatable to us, he is moving us to a location that is consistent with His plan for our lives.
