If God will work with a man or work for a man, the condition of his heart will matter a lot. In the days of Moses, there were some men that confronted him, they felt they were better than Aaron. They really were not having a problem with Moses as it were but they had problems with Aaron being a priest. “……And Moses said, What is Aaron that you have gathered against him? All of you should bring your censers and let God show the man he has chosen between you and Aaron.” They came publicly and God showed that He hadn’t chosen them but when God was to choose the 70 elders, He said “gather 70 elders and those that you know to be elders, I will take of the spirit upon you, and put it upon them.” While God was choosing, there were two people that didn’t come to the meeting, they were in their tents, but their hearts were right and what was happening in the assembly was happening for them where they were.

Isa 66:3: “He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man…..” God is talking of what people do here, that is, sacrificing an ox. It is the heart of that man that made that religious act offensive to God.  This is talking of the danger of a wrong heart in the presence of God. Your head may be wrong but if your heart is right, God will work with you.

There was one disciple that the Lord never publicly rebuked, his name was Judas. And there was one, that if he didn’t get rebuked in a day, it was a special day, that was Peter. He often answered questions when nobody asked any. He made a lot of mistakes but his heart was golden before God, so much so that even when he betrayed Jesus and felt so bad, the Lord came after him personally and arranged a special meeting three times to restore him. It’s not about whether you are an introvert or extrovert, some quiet people are quiet devils while some people are loud but their hearts are golden.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from every area where my heart is wrong towards you, straighten me up so that my service will be acceptable to you in Jesus’ name.
