If you have the Holy Spirit, you have more than an army by your side. When the Holy Spirit helps us, He ensures that we are marvelously helped until we are strong. When we say that the Holy Spirit is our helper, we should know what that help does not include:

1.He is not a replacement for our common sense.

Many have missed it in life because once they got the baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues, they stopped thinking and assumed that they had all they needed in life. That is not true.

2.He is not a replacement for our sensory organs.

This is important because there will be situations in which your five senses are what you need. For example, when you are driving, you should follow your eyes which show you that a car is in front of you. Don’t follow your spirit when your eyes can tell you to step on the brakes.

3. He is not a replacement for our intelligence.

God did not give us our intelligence for nothing, instead He is an extension of our common sense, our senses and our intelligence. God will allow you to use your five senses, your common sense and your intelligence to handle some things while there are some other things that will elude you if your senses and intelligence are all that you can access. There will be realms of life that these three cannot penetrate but the Holy Spirit helps us to access those realms so that when we are making decisions, we have a complete picture of God’s purpose and intention. You may be a victim in some realms of life without access through the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I receive your help in all spheres of my life. I will not be in the dark in Jesus’ name.
