UNDERSTANDING ETERNAL LIFE 2 - JOHN 1: 1-14; Act 20: 9-10, 24; Isa 14:12 -15
God says, “the soul that sinneth shall die.” Every time God talks of death, you must know what He is speaking about. When He speaks of life, you must know what He means. Apostle Paul talking about life is quite different from God talking about His own life. When God says a soul that sins shall die, what does He mean? And when the scripture says you are alive, what does it mean?
When God created Adam, God fellowshipped with him because he was made in the likeness and image of God. God communicated with Adam. There was no teaching on how to hear God or how to live by faith. Adam had eternal life. God brought all the animals to Adam to name. These were some of the things Adam had before he lost eternal life.
God gave man instructions to replenish the earth and dominate everything. There were four rivers inside the garden of Eden but the first time a boat was manufactured in the bible was during the time of Noah. How then was Adam crossing those rivers? If Jesus who happened to be the last Adam walked on water, we can also safely say that the first Adam walked on those rivers located in the garden of Eden. Peter, the apostle also did. The capacity in a man with eternal life possesses some forces that supersedes that of a boat on water if man didn’t fall. When Adam was created, living the life of faith was normal to him. Now we are trying to bring man back to the normal that God intended for him initially. The life of a man with eternal life now looks like a strange life. Faith, as well as hearing God should be a normal thing for a man with eternal life. The reason we have created different categories in the kingdom is lack of the possibilities of eternal life. You assume that somebody is superior to you in the kingdom.
God wants every one of His children to come to the full awareness of the power and possibilities of eternal life so that the devil will not have any advantage over us and so that we can discharge our destiny completely here on earth.
