When David went to battle in 1Sam 17, the insults of his brothers was a test of men while the curses of Goliath was a test of the devil. Everyone must recognize the difference between these two. The insults and tests of men are designed to discourage you on the journey of destiny and make you lose focus but the tests of the devil are an orchestration of demonism to assault your spirit. The events that we meet in life are permitted of God as tests to prove who we are. These tests face every man. The mystery of tests is that God will not allow you to be tested above what you are able. That means that He will bring the ability before the test comes.
The devil wants you to believe that what you are going through is unique; there is actually nothing unique in what anyone is going through. The judgement of God over the devil is that he will not be allowed to confront a man with anything different from what is common to the human experience. God will not allow you to be tested above what you are able. God will bring the ability before the test comes, so you are responsible to be present when and where the ability is being supplied.
Church is the formal setting of the School of the Kingdom and the informal settings which are your personal dealings with the Lord goes on concurrently. When any test shows up in your life, you can bank on God’s faithfulness - that God has tested the test and checked your ability and His supply to you, and He is sure that with what He has done for you, you should be able to handle the test. However, if you are a bad student, you will not pass.
The equipment of God’s children comes in both formal and informal settings. God is preparing you for your own destiny. A great testimony comes out of a great test. Is there something that your emotions are twined around? Can God ask for something that He gave you? Until you are willing to lose it, you can’t keep it. Are you ready to align yourself and make necessary adjustments to pass the tests of God expressly?
