There are various generations recorded in the Bible and this present generation is inexcusable because it has more blessings and divine resources when compared to other generations that have gone ahead. Even though it looks like all the negatives of generations past are magnified in this generation, all the strength, glory, power and divine resources since the world began are also at our disposal to triumph over the wiles of the devil in these last days.

Will you go with the godlessness in your generation or decide to be God’s standard in your generation? In the days of Noah, the corruption was so bad that fallen beings were having sexual relations with women and if Noah stood his ground for God in such a defiled generation, you don’t have any excuse not to live for God in your generation. Noah didn’t say, “If you can’t beat them, join them.” God is saying you can beat them and become His standard for your generation with His word and with His Spirit if you decide like Daniel decided in his own generation.

Don’t be diplomatic about what is right and wrong. He called us to be instructors on the earth. The Bible says in Isaiah 59:19, “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” When Satan brings his flood of ungodliness, iniquity and perversion in any generation with the banner saying, “Forget it; it’s not possible to live for God.” God raises a standard in the few living godly lives and churches that uphold the truth and shine the light to a lost world.

The standard bearer is always an object of attack because as long as the flag of an army is flying, they are still in contention. God is looking for Christians that He can uses as His standard in this generation so that when men are looking for God He can show them these people. Will you be one of them?

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the weakness of not wanting to offend others. I refuse the diplomacy that makes me an enemy of God. I declare that I will be on God’s side even if no one joins me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
