Some Christians today don’t know that God has called them. Some are knowledgeable enough but they have not accepted the call of God upon their lives; they are resisting the call and struggling to obey God. There are several consequences when a man resists the call of God upon his life. Some of these consequences are:

1. He loses the presence of God: Refusing to respond to the call of God to walk in destiny that God planned for you removes the presence of God from you.

2. He begins to go down instead of going up: The person begins to go down spiritually and physically. Real Christianity is not seen by improvement in your economic life while your spiritual life goes down. If your spiritual life doesn’t commensurate with the increase in your economic life, then you are compromising somewhere so as to have increase in your economic life.

3. He begins to reduce in quality and the cost of running his life begins to increase: He will be the one to pay his fare in life and or the road of destiny. When you are in the call of God upon your life, there is a divine involvement that takes care of many things for you that others are struggling to get. The quality of your life begins to increase while the cost is reducing as you stay put in the call of God for your life.

4. He becomes a trouble maker: The plan of God for you is to be a Joseph bringing increase to people’s lives and not a Jonah that joins himself to people’s ships causing trouble for them. Any man running away from the call of God becomes a curse that is not God’s intention for him. You are to be a blessing and not a curse, but it is when you embrace your divine call that you step on the road to becoming a great blessing to yourself, your family and your generation. It is your response to the call of God that brings you from obscurity into success. May the Lord help you.

Prayer: Lord, help me to know my calling, believe my calling, embrace my calling and cause me to walk in the fullness of my calling. Amen.
